Psalm 18:3 I will call upon the LORD, [who is worthy] to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
Sometimes there are elephants among us. What I mean by that is there are things that come into our lives that seem as big as elephants. How can you deal with them? They are massive and defy solution. They are beyond our ability to deal with them.
Our nation finds itself in that situation. The problems before us are beyond the ability of political men and women to resolve the issues involved. But the solutions cannot be found in the political realm. The problems are often made in the political realm but the solution cannot be found there.
Each time in the past that our nation has found itself with elephant size problems, the solution was discovered as many of the citizens of our nation went before the God of our beginning. You know, the One who led many to the shores of this great expanse of land. The One who walked with us through two great world wars. There was a call by the presidents and leaders of the day to call upon God and seek His help. Today we need to return to this call. But are the citizens of our great nation ready to call upon God. That is the question!
